Holiday Session #2: An Ümlarifically Sweet Holiday in TorontoThis is a recap of my second of two holiday sessions held in Toronto in 2012: An Ümlarifically Sweet Holiday! This event was held in conjunction with Ümla's good friend, The Baker of Sweet Street, who, as you may remember, provided the AWESOME treats for the various Ümlarifically Sweet Halloween events in October/November! As with An Ümlarific Holiday at Trinity-Bellwoods Park, this event was held indoors. Unlike the Trinity-Bellwoods shoot, however, this event was held in conjunction with another awesome partner, Lil Bean N Green! You may recall that I have taken photographs there a couple of times before, through our friends at Mommy Connections East Toronto, so I was pretty familiar with using the café for taking photos. We had a full house on December 9th. And in fact, we had a waiting list too! We ended up with a few last-minute cancellations due to illness and whatnot, so we were able to fill all available spots in spite of the cancellations. It made for a busy day, but working with awesome families made it all worth it! April, the owner of Lil Bean let us use the seminar room for photos. It's a pretty well-lit room, though I did have to supplement with flash at times. Kim, the fabulous Baker of Sweet Street, made some gorgeous holiday cookies. Not only were they gorgeous, they were also freaking delicious! Check them out:
This little girl was adorable! Although she wasn't too keen on having her photo taken (she smartly determined that the stuff outside the photo room was way more fun than sitting in a room with a strange lady and her camera), I still got some awesome shots of her. Check this out:
The next set of clients were repeat customers from one of my Mommy Connections events. They loved the photos that I did so much that they wanted to have their holiday photos done too! It was great being able to photograph the entire family. Here's one of my repeat customers. Isn't he a cutie?
