September's Paying it Forward is dedicated to the Terry Fox Foundation. Each year, like many schools around the city, my daughter's school participates in the Terry Fox Run. As a result, of her participation, we always donate to the cause. But her participation isn't the only reason why we give to the cause. My husband has a co-worker who battled cancer at various points in her life. I've had family members who have battled cancer. My daughter's teacher battled cancer. I have friends who have battled cancer. Many of us have been affected by cancer, both directly and indirectly, and any bit that can help to fund cancer research is awesome.

Not to mention the fact that the story of Terry Fox, a true Canadian icon, has been an awe-inspiring beacon of hope. If you don't know much about Terry Fox and the movement that he started, I highly encourage you to check out some info here.
